Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in BS Customs Administration or supply chain related field
- At least 3 years working experience in the field of logistics, specifically import/export
- Highly knowledgeable on Customs processes and laws
- Proficiency in managing systems and using different technological tools to complete tasks
- Has a strong sense of growth and development; pushing out innovative ideas and managing those ideas through effective multi-tasking, stakeholder management, all the while delivering them within the deadline.Â
- Must be good communicator; strong written and verbale English proficiency, can cross-collaborate with multiple departments and carry out changes and updates to team members.Â
ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for coordinating between associated departments to ensure timely and unhampered transportation of shipments. The job involves forecasting, reporting, and staying on top of all delivery schedules, as well as all factors affecting the efficiency of deliveries.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tracks, traces, and updates the shipment arrival and clearance statuses to ensure prompt release of shipment
- Send arrival notice to the logistics arm days prior to vessel arrival for delivery preparation
- Determine and acquire necessary permits and documents prior to shipment delivery to ensure timely and safe delivery of each shipment of the customer
- Inform clients when a potential demurrage or detention event could occur or acquiring news, updates, and insights from Port, Customs, and other related agencies
- Maintain accurate and proper documentation of deliveries and associated details in freight system
- Develop and negotiate trucking rates and contracts aid in bringing business operation costs to a minimum
- Monitor competitors’ activities and pricing structures through periodicals, business updates, and clients’ feedback to protect company’s market share and identify areas where the company can enhance better quality service
